Overview
Automotive suppliers today face unprecedented customer requirements, not the least of which are quality and environmental performance. Combined with considerable competition and price sensitivity, organizations must find smarter and more efficient ways to manage. ICS has recognized that there is significant opportunity in combining common principles contained in ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001. Once they are combined within a management system, auditors need to be prepared to determine the effectiveness of the controls. ICS's 3.5 day integrated ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 internal auditor course provides participants with the tools they will need to audit combined management systems.
Course Objectives
Following completion of the course, students should be able to:
- Understand the content and intent of the ISO/TS 16949:2009 standard.
- Understand the content and intent of the ISO 14001:2004 standard.
- Exploration of common areas between ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001.
- Practical application of the audit tools- planning, preparation, conducting, reporting and follow-up.
The program makes use of short presentations, discussion, individual and team exercises, and case studies. Hands-on participant activity is emphasized.
