We will review a selection of quality tools that will encourage improvement and drive effective problem solving in your organization.
Using case studies, we will explore team dynamics and the steps to effective problem solving using the "8 Discipline" format as a foundation.
We'll emphasize the difference between the incident, non-detection, and the root causes of system failure.

  • The 8 Disciplines of effective problem solving.

  • The difference between Corrective vs. Preventive actions.
  • Ways to verify effectiveness.
  • The basics on error-proofing concepts.
  • Retaining lessons learned

On-site delivery options

8 hours: This option allows for a hands on approach using a case study and one selected problem that the participants in teams can use for general discussion purposes and use of selected tools. This option may be delivered in 2 half day sessions.


16 hours: This option allows participants time to work in groups on practical application; the organization may select 3 problems for each class to use. Each team will be required to utilize the tools on their selected issue and present their plan for completion of the problem solving exercise at the end of the workshop.
