ICS Improvement Roundtables

Our Improvement Roundtables are held twice each year - these interactive forums are designed to help registered organizations improve the effectiveness of their ISO based management system.  Past roundtables have provided our clients with the opportunity to exchange ideas and insights on the performance of their management system.  Past discussions have included ISO 9000, ISO 14000, OHSAS 18000, AS 9100 and TS 16949.

ICS Improvement Roundtables are presented at no charge, however space is limited so please register early!

Our Fall 2010 Roundtable

November 30, 2010 - ICS Guelph Offices - 2 - 5 PM

Many organizations have implemented an ISO management system based on the requirements of their customers. Many don't experience the natural benefits of the management system.  The roundtable gives participants a chance to network and discuss how other registered organizations use their management systems as a foundation for improvement and customer value.

Agenda

2:00 PM - General Welcome and Introductions

2:15 PM - The ICS Improvement Wheel or the Real Benefits of an ISO 9000 Quality System - Michael Delisle - Chief Executive Officer, ICS

During this session, Michael Delisle will highlight how ISO 9000 can be used as a foundation to bring stability and value to an organization.  The ICS Improvement Wheel will be presented as a model that organizations can use to derive full benefit from their implemented management system.

3:15 PM - Substantive External Audit Time Reduction -Andy Hofmann - President, ICS

ISO 9001 has been in use for 23 years and ISO 14001 for 15 years.  While there have been incremental improvements in internal and external audit methods, there has not been a fundamental change in certification ownership. External and internal audits still follow the same Certification-Surveillance-Surveillance-Certification process they have always followed.  With the release of the IAF's MD 3, there is a possibility of significantly shifting responsibility for the health of the registration to the internal audit.  The benefit of so doing will be an up to 70% reduction in external audit time.  This presentation will explore where audit time requirements originate and what such a change means to the auditors involved.

4:15 PM - Roundtable Comments and Discussion

5:00 PM - Finish
